1) If on the floor - 5 second rule 2) If in the hot coals of the grill - eat out

Oops, I answered before I saw your explanation. Yes, I would definitely eat them.

Think of the grass as your veggie!

lol, weeble~ yes UR BAD! I am so hungry, I will eat them, too! How would you explain not eating?
Apr. 11, 2012 7:37 pm
I totally agree with weeble on this.

I'd eat them, I chewed the lead paint off my crib and the licked off the varnish and I'm still here.

Unless they fell on top of a big old dog pile that was in the grass, I'd eat them. It's not much different than eating something from the garden, or an apple right off the tree, if you look at the big picture.

I'd also eat them if I dropped them on the hot coals, unless it burned them to bits. There is NOTHING better than a steak cooked directly on red glowing coals!

Funny you would say that, mimosa... I do keep dogs, but didn't see a "pile"! lol It was dark, though! Funny, bd. weld~if it works for you!

Funny. Burgers usually aren't that expensive, and yes, we do have a dog, who's bathroom is the grass, and a lawncare guy who hates pets and sprays the grass with umpteen chemicals... So I would personally not like to eat what has fallen on the floor, the lawn, the patio, or anywhere else. A restaurant would never serve what fell on the floor (I hope!), five seconds or whatever...and yes, you can end up very sick from taking such chances. I would have tossed the lot, and jumped into the car to buy takeout. Have been "food poisoned" too many times from this sort of gamble...if I won't eat it with a clear conscience, I won't serve it to anyone else (the dog being a possible exception). I don't like getting sick.

b.d.weld, weeble, and Ladies....You are hysterical! Shanon, they should be fine....I highly doubt you have a yard full of poo and toxins. To each their own, but only you know best. Hugs, and giggles.

chairlifter has given me a fantastic idea for the perfect murder...death by toxin-laced burgers! There may be a book in that idea! "But officer, the meat was only in the bush for five seconds, I swear!"

Lick it and put it back on the grill. heh heh. Oh, and we have a three second rule.
Apr. 11, 2012 9:53 pm
I am sure you have eaten by not, but i would be hungry and yes, dropped it back on the burger for a bit and eaten it with love. no problems.. but, I also let my dogs lick me on the mouth. Not so worried about germs.

Uhmmm it depends on where you dropped them and if they were cooked or raw. If they were cooked and dropped in the house I would rinse them then re-fry them to burn off any harm. I do not have pets and I hand clean my floors everyday. So it depends on how your floors look.

Shanon, my hubby would pick it up blow it off and eat it! It would not matter if it fell on the floor or grass!!!

I agree with chairlifter, food that falls on the floor/grass/patio at our house goes in the trash.
