I'm making chicken salad sandwiches tonight for supper. What do you serve with chicken salad? My "usual" is chips and fruit, but something "new" might be nice. Thanks!

Add your fruit to you chicken salad. I add either diced apples, diced grapes or pineapple. I think the chicken salad alone is good enough :) I like mine on bread or crackers.

I agree with TSP! I always add grapes to sweeten my chicken salad

I almost always make it with grapes, celery, toasted almonds, dried minced onion, garlic powder, and mayo...that's what we are having tonight...I'm having mine with lettuce as a wrap and my husband is having his on a sandwich bun.

I like to add celery, onion, diced pickles, mayo, brown mustard, fruit, cajun seasoning and cayenne. Good idea to put it in a lettuce wrap.

I'm terribly picky...(which some people here have told me is wrong and that I shouldn't ask for suggestions if I don't *ever* make what is suggested, which is ) but I hate cooked apples. :-( Tried them again in the fall when we made applesauce in my kindergarten class, but no go.

Apple Cabbage Toss

This dish is a favorite of ours because it suits both my husband's and my tastes. We love the touch of sweet flavor with cabbage. The apple adds color, and it's a compatible side dish with ham and baked or sweet potatoes. -Mary Skram, Columbia, Missouri

If I have chicken salad for supper rather than lunch, usually in the summer when hot, I usually do a duo, tri or quad plate. Salad greens all over the plate. A scoop of chicken salad & any other salad. A scoop of pasta salad, broccoli salad, green salad with dressing, fruit salad (grapes, strawberries, any fruit tossed with tiny bit of poppyseed dressing). A wedge of cheese. A wedge or two of hard boiled egg. Toasted bagette, crackers or croutons. A cold plate.

Put that fresh spring asparagus to good use in this creamy soup! Asparagus and onion are cooked in chicken broth, pureed, and combined with milk, sour cream, and a little fresh lemon juice.

I am too late, but personally I would like a cup of a restaurant quality soup like this one, or a good cream of mushroom soup!
