Can I can this is canning jars and seal them where they won't need to be placed in the frudge until after opening? What do you think?

I'm not sure about it. I'd worry that heating the hot fudge could cause it to turn grainy, but I don't know. I've actually wondered about it since I'd like to give gift baskets of homemade goodies at Christmas.

There is no problem with the fudge and making it grainy. I have made this a couple of times and I have re-heating on the stove and mircowave. But, some say to strictly needs to be in the fridge and others say it is okay to can and ship it. I am unsure. Name brands in the grocery store it on the shelf and say to refrigerate after opening, but I assume that is because they use a lot of perservatives?
