OKAMI SESAME SALAD DRESSING... Okay.. for years when we come back to the States for the summer one of the things I look forward to is going to COSTCO and getting the OKAMI CHINESE STYLE SALAD KIT.... OMGOSH I don't care for many *prepared* foods... but this is AMAZING! Does anyone happen to have replicated the dressing? I would LOVE to be able to make this salad year round! (THe salad itself is lettuce, wanton strips, sliced almonds and chicken but the dressing MAKES the salad!!!) HELP! SOS (Save Our Salad!)

Funny thing - I was standing in the checkout line and the man next to me came over and told me I had to buy it. He offered me his and was going to go back the whole length of the store to get another one! I declined but guess I really have to do it now! Thanks...

Funny I just received this recipe form about .com I signed up for tips on Japanese cooking. This dressing is fro cold noodle salad but it might be what your looking for # For Dressing: # 1 1/2 Tbsp white sesame seeds # 3 Tbsp rice vinegar # 1 Tbsp sugar # 1 tsp peanut butter # 2 Tbsp soy sauce # 3 Tbsp water # 1/4 tsp sesame oil Place sesame seeds in a suribachi (Japanese mortar) and grind them with a surikogi pestle. Or, place sesame seeds in a blender or food processor and grind until smooth. Add rice vinegar, sugar, and peanut butter. Mix until combined. Further, add soy sauce and water and mix. Pour sesame oil. Cool the dressing in the refrigerator.
