Morning and Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! The little guy requested chicken parm tonight (he calls it pizza chicken, lol) w/ rice and salad, so that's what we'll be having. Oh, and I wanna make Manella's Lemon Loaf for dessert w/ strawberries and whipped cream. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/63538233/lemon-loaf/detail.aspx?prop31=2

Good morning! My oldest son will be skiing tonight & my daughter MAY go to a pizza party w/the cheerleaders. I have to see how she's feeling when she gets up today(she's still doing half days & today is the 2nd half). It may be heart shaped pizza if it's just me, hubby, & the youngest munchkin. Hubby & I were supposed to go out to lunch but the big boss is now coming into town today so hubby has back to back meetings & it doesn't really leave enough time for us to be able to have a relaxed lunch. Love Day will celebrated this weekend for us, I think :) Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!

We had a boss interrupt our plans also. We were going to have a leisurely night in the town where DH works (about 1 hour from home) and he was going to take tomorrow off, but now he has to work. So just dinner out it is, which is fine. We'll go see a movie this weekend.

Spicy Thai style shrimp. Chicken, pork, beef, calamari, scallops, or tofu can easily be substituted for shrimp. This makes for a wonderful supper.

If you love garlic, try tossing angel hair pasta with garlic, butter, Parmesan and parsley. Use this as a base for sauteed beef cube steak breaded with Parmesan and baked with onions, bell peppers and mozzarella.

With this rice! Going bake up some premade Nestle double chocolate cookies for dessert. I know that's cheating, but what can I say? Going to catch a movie together over the weekend. Thursdays aren't very good for going out. Happy Valentine's Day!

Just finished the Book, The Lace Reader, where one of the characters kept ordering Chop Suey Sandwiches. Apparently, they are a specialty sandwich of Salem, Massachusetts. Anyway, I thought I better try this recipe while it is fresh on my mind! http://allrecipes.com/weblink/63539538/chop-suey-sandwich-recipe-from-julie-fishman/detail.aspx

These hamburger buns are so easy to make and turn out light and fluffy. A quick brush with an egg wash before baking gives them a beautiful golden brown color.
