This cake calls for 2 8 inch round pans which I used but were too small. Also this cake calls for a massive amount of baking soda which gives it a weird tongue feel and a flat taste. Plus it's not chocolatey enough. There are so many really good chocolate cakes on AR. This really isn't one of them. :(

Hot Italian sausage and ground beef are the base of this spicy chili made with red wine, colorful bell peppers, tomatoes, kidney beans, and both jalapeno and chipotle chiles. It makes enough to feed a crowd or to freeze extra for easy weeknight meals.

AFTER our children left home, I had to learn to cook all over again, I began to economize on food purchases by buying some meats in quantity and freezing extras for future menus. My husband especially loves this chicken recipe, which I pared down to fit our life-style today. --Helen Whelan Jarrettsville, Maryland

Italian sausage is stir-fried with peppers and mushrooms then served over pasta with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. My husband who loves Italian dishes was getting bored with the same ones, so I made this one day for dinner and the whole family loved it! I hope you will too!
