Good morning! I made sloppy joes lastnight & will have those tonight along w/this salad & fruit. High School conferences tonight plus I have to work at the school store during 1/2 the conferences. My daughter's CT scan came out totally normal. Yay!!! If she wakes up w/a headache today, we head back to the dr this morning. Not sure what they'll do this time.

I'm so glad you got the results quickly, and that they were normal =D It was a CT of her cervical spine, correct? I'm sorry about the continuing headache! I totally sympathize! I am a frequent headache sufferer - and they are no fun!

Jan. 23, 2013 2:38 am
Thanks! Yes, cervical spine, Barb! She has a history of migraines but, fortunately, her accident didn't trigger one. Of course, the concern is the persistence of the headache since the fall. What else can they do, do you think? I'm wondering if just giving her something stronger than ibuprofen might help, like a dose of her migraine meds. The dr also mentioned maybe trying a muscle relaxer to see how she responds to that. I suppose we'll find out today.

Both of thse might work. I am an Excedrine fan. It's the only thing that even touches my head. You might ask about that, too. Too bad they didn't do a CT of her brain while she was there . . . Hindsight . . . /=

Lisa, Glad the scan turned out ok. Excedrin is all that worked on my son's migraines.

I'll chime in. I had a migraine last night. A trigger for me is lack of sleep. My husband swears by Excedrin Migraine too. They stopped making it for a while as there was a recall. I think it's back on shelves now. I found that Walmart makes their own brand of "headache" medicine witht he same ingredients. It works for me. Hope her headaches go away soon. Glad the scan came back normal. Hugs!

There are many generic versions of Excedrine. I now look for rapid or quick release. Target had a version - but I haven't seen it for a while. I did find a tensions headache rapid release at Target that I got the other day. Don't buy "migraine" formula if it costs more - it is the same formulation as the Extra Strength Excedrine. The Tension Headache formula is minus the aspirin. I took it for quite a while, after I lacerated my spleen.

Glad the CT scan was clear. My daughter has been having headaches since the fall semester of school as well. Her doc suggested Excedrin as well. They seem to think it's stress-related. College kid, so that makes sense. Hope your daughter's are easily treatable.

Didn't get to make these on Monday as planned as I had to run to my grandmas and help her out. (did pizza) so tonight it is, hopefully. Bought coleslaw mix to use in it. May slightly cook that mixture before frying.

I like the veggies a little crunch in egg rolls. I do blanch just for a few minutes. Be sure to drain the water off well. Cabbage does soak up a lot of water. I had to press it using my hands through a colander.

I also may attempt to make some of these for myself tonight. Have a can of crabmeat. Bought green onions to add. Tossing up whether to use the dumpling wrappers I have left from last week or just use the egg roll wrappers and cut to suite my needs.

This is a mildly hot Cajun spice mix you make yourself with common spices from your pantry. For those who like it hotter, add the optional crushed red pepper. This makes a great oven Cajun hashbrowns!
