Good morning! I have a ton of ham dinner leftovers so I'm taking the night off from cooking :) What a great dinner, tho. I ended up making these potatoes w/added garlic & green onion. Wow! Sooo good!

lisa
Jan. 22, 2013 3:25 am
Not as of right now. I have to call in to her dr again today, just to update her on her headache & we'll go from there. Thankfully, I just got the call that school's closed today so that saves her 1 absence. She'll be ecstatic!

Not sure what they told you, if anything, about the report. Here's what I tell my patients [because I know you're all anxious to hear any news . . . !]: the doctor should get the report within a few days [probably by the end of the week], if he needs it before he receives it, such as, if you have an appointment, they can call, and we can fax it to them. So, go ahead and ask about the report when you call tomorrow. Odds are good that they won't have it yet - but maybe they'll call and get it. Or tell you when to call back for it. Or have you make an appointment to come in for it. . .

Yes, they always say it's going to be a few days but they typically call the very next day so I'm hopeful they'll know something by this afternoon.

Wishing you luck on your DD headaches...My DD who is 21 now starting having headaches in about Oct/NOV got an eye exam in DEC 2012 assuming it was eye glass renewal time.. NOPE it was Papilledema. optic disc swelling that is secondary to elevated intracranial pressure. She had to have 2 MRI's and a Lumbar Puncture and is seeing a Neuro DR now as well & has been on meds.. Just last week the headache got so bad I rushed her to the ER and they gave her a Morphine shot to stop the headache..So don't treat any little headache that repeats for weeks like just a waste of getting checked...

Made this today. I hope it's good! I ended up adding about 10 minutes to the bake time /= in two minute increments . . . I melted a can of chocolate frosting I had on hand and poured it over the top - on top of the layer of peanut butter.

I had McD's for lunch...the pork tender. 500 calories WITHOUT the drink and fries. Good thing I only get to eat there about once a month! I had only seen a calorie count list at McD's in Abilene, KS when I went to visit DD a few months ago...do they all list the calories now? Didn't stop me from eating it!

Sherri- I stirred this up (a half recipe) just to see what they're like. I enjoyed the taste. Mine were a bit crunchy-for some reason I used a large grate, not a fine grate, when grating the sweet potato. The mixture was a bit dry even with a full medium-sized egg in the half mixture, so I added a dash of Worceshire (sp?) sauce and a couple teaspoons of water. I did use Panko for the bread crumbs, so that may have contributed to the dryness. I cooked one on the stovetop to try right away and enjoyed it with the sauce. I loved the sauce BEFORE I added fresh lime juie. After...eh. I felt I lost the taste of the sour cream and jalapeno when I added lime juice. I'll letting the mixture set for now-hopefully the flavors will meld a bit-and will see what I think tonight. The sauce does add some needed moisture to this dish.
