Start with a white cake mix, and add sour cream and almond flavoring to make a quick, moist cake that's ready for your decorating touches.

I have no idea what to make for dinner. I thought we were having pizza with my parents for my dad's bday but we've decided to do it tomorrow instead. I'm making this cake for him today, tho.

I still have cauliflower that is miraculously holding up. I'm hoping it hangs in there til Sunday. I used my spinach & some mushrooms in the alfredo ravioli lastnight. I did end up throwing out some zucchini & a cucumber, along w/an open can of pineapple that had been in there a week(not IN the can, of course). Not too bad, really. Now, I went grocery shopping yesterday but tried not to buy too much fresh produce, only what I want to use over the next 3-4 days.....if all goes as planned :)

Delicious, warm blueberry sauce which is fabulous on pancakes, waffles, cheesecake or ice cream! Fresh or frozen blueberries work equally well.

Girl, you'll be in the kitchen all day! This is a very good sauce. I had gotten fresh blueberries this summer and I made this sauce 5 times. It's good on waffles, pancakes and even on french toast!

I almost always have it around but need a break once in awhile. I tried to make it 2 weeks ago & my new, sealed cottage cheese was full of mold when I opened it. NOT a happy girl. The good thing is, I already had most of the ingredients mixed together when that happened so I just threw the whole bowl in the freezer. As soon as it thaws, I'll add the eggs, bacon, & cottage cheese & throw it in the oven. Easy peasy.

I up the temp to 350 & bake regular size cookies. They come out perfect every time BUT they're thin cookies. I've never tried the bigger cookies & lower temp. Must be the trick to getting nice thick cookies??? I wonder!

Here's what I did; 2 cups of flour, 1 tbls milk, 1/2 butter and 1/2 cup crisco. Be sure to add the extract. I did 1 tbls size dough balls. They turned of soft and not thin and crispy.

Good morning friends. Well, my step-son and his family ran into weather and traffic issues. I heard Tennessee was a mess. He arrives soon. Will make this in the crock pot so when I get home from work I will have it ready. I am thinking of possibly adding a little chicken stock since it will be in the cooker about 10 hours. Serving with a pasta salad I made last night with tri-colored rotini, cubed cukes, cherry tomatoes and italian dressing. Will add mozarella before serving. Have a great day... its FRIDAY!!!
