Pork chops are coated with seasoned Italian crumbs and baked with an easy mushroom and wine sauce for for a nice weeknight dinner that practically takes care of itself.

Good morning everyone! Seriously slow computer this morning. Ugh. After many minutes of contemplation, I've decided to make 2 different pork chop recipes tonight. These....

I've made them this way before; a little bit of work, but worth it. Very tender and tasty!

Just to be sure, if your computer is slow, to back-up your files. My computer just died on me Friday. I had saved my files but lost all my contacts and saved emails. Ugh. I'm trying to reestablish everything on this new one.

Oh Deb, that stinks. We actually have our old computer that died on us. It has all of my youngest son's baby pictures, etc on it & I'm terrified to take it in to find out if we lost them all. I must've fixed the problem here now. Hubby had a Best Buy page open on IE. Once I closed it, everything sped right back up to normal. Weird.

DH wants to bring his dads computer here and take our old clunker to the recycle place. My docs are backed up as of yesterday but none of the photos are backed up. Ugggggggghhhhhhhh one more thing added to the "to do" list. . .

Lisa your photos are still in that computer, pay someone that knows what they're doing and they usually can retrieve them off your hard drive. I added a back up program that automatically backs up everything through out the day. It is called Crash Plan.

If you know how to get the herd drive out it is pretty simple to access it if it's not corrupted. Every computer we have lost had no problem with the HD. I bought a little sata/usb/blah blah blah thingy for about 25 bucks and and able to connect it to my new computer just like an external backup drive...plug-n-play basically. So don't give up hope. If you have a "geek" I will link you to the device.

yes, yes I do, hahaha. I "always" do backups but the last time...we won't talk about it. And, I love the really old version of microsoft sound recorder. It was very unsophisticated and perfect for an idiot that wanted to create sound clips (like me). I ripped apart a laptop just to get that file.

Trying out the new to me menu feature. It tells me I scheduled a recipe similar to this with the hasselback biscuits. Was pleased to see that in a very short time last night I was able to plan a week's menu using all ingredients already in the house.

Good morning, I just wanted you to know Lisa that this turned out great yesterday. It is not an attractive cake but with the glaze it is such a moist flavorful cake. I made it as directed with the exception that I subbed lemonade for the lemon extract. Thought I had some but didn't. My parents loved it.

I think this sounds delish but the liquid from the beans is where all the salt and farts stay so I think I'd rinse and add in some water or stock.

yesterday we cleaned the pond-looks great and i have happy fish- we burned limbs & sticks in the burn barrel and i place a grate over the top- lunch was hotdogs/onions/slaw and chips- dinner- broccoli and cauliflower mix/ baked potatoes/bbq pork chops- i not only didn't spend time in the kitchen i saved on propane and electric- so today is clean and inventory nursery stock day- same will burn and use the grate again- i will throw some chicken on there/grill pack with turnips/onion/cabbage- i just love being able to do all these things at once(with hardly any kitchen clean up) and the best part-- there should be enough leftovers of all the"grill meals" for a potluck tomorrow nite:-) have a beautiful day!!

Asparagus with Prosciutto - Italian Style 250g/8oz Asparagus - trimmed with bottom ends peeled 45g/1½oz Butter 100g/3½oz Onion - finely chopped 120g/4oz Prosciutto/Serrano Ham - cut into thin strips 250ml/8fl oz Crème Fraiche or Double (Heavy) Cream 60g/2oz Parmesan Reggiano Cheese - grated Salt - for pasta 400gr/14oz Fettuccine or Tagliatelle Boil water in a large pan, add the asparagus whole and cook for some 5 minutes or so or until tender but not mushy; Set aside to cool, reserving 120ml/4fl oz/8tbsp of the cooking liquid in a glass; When cool enough to handle, cut asparagus into 2cm/¾in lengths; Pour large quantity of water for the pasta in a large pan and place over a high heat; Melt the butter in a large sauté pan, add the onion and cook over a medium heat, stirring occasionally, until softened and a rich golden colour; Stir in the prosciutto and sauté until it has lost its’ raw look and colour; Add the asparagus, raise heat to medium high and cook, stirring, until lightly coloured; Pour in the reserved liquid and cook until evaporated; Stir in the cream and cook until reduced by half; Remove from the heat and set aside; When pasta water is boiling and sauce is off the heat, add salt and drop of olive oil and add pasta, stirring constantly at first to ensure all the strands are separated; When cooked to “al dente”, drain well and toss with the pasta and the cheese; Serve immediately.
