Turkey pot pie made with leftover turkey meat gets a corn bread topping that's easy because it's made with boxed corn muffin mix.

Good morning, lisa! I used the last of the turkey in soup, and "deleted" the rest of the leftovers last night. I'm ready for some hamburgers on the grill tonight!

Good morning! I'm not sure about dinner yet but it will include deviled eggs. I also want something cherry, so maybe this cake. My day is up in the air right now. I'm supposed to go out of town w/my mom this morning but my daughter woke up w/a migraine. This is her 3rd one in a month so I think I better take her in. Have a great day everyone!!

Ok, motrin didn't help so she had to use her rx nasal spray. She'll be knocked out for the rest of the day. Poor kid. I guess I'm baking today!

Hope she's felling better, Lisa! Do take her in. My hubs has been a life-long sufferer, he actually had a mini stroke from one and lost a sliver of his vision, they are nothing to fool around with. The only thing that works for him is chewing aspirin immediately as he gets the visual changes that come on first, and he has managed to abort many this way. I'm not sure how old your DD is, and of course aspirin is not recommended for kiddies, so see what the doc says. Good luck.

Hope your daughter is better soon, Lisa. Love the atavars; I haven't figured out how to download one, then load it on to AR. No go personal photos for Christmas on the computer, either. I'll figure it out Friday-I'm off then & will have some time to mess with it.

I’m so sorry to hear your daughter has a migraine. My daughter and I get them and they are miserable. The only thing that saves me is a prescription medication. Did the carpeting get done and did you like it? I wonder if the renovation can be triggering it. There’s different chemicals in the paint and carpeting. Hmmm. I’d try to air the house out if I could.

Hope the nasal spray works for your daughter, lisa. My mom suffers from migraines. She has to lay in a dark room with a cold compress on her forward along with her medication.

Thanks everyone! Right now she's supposed to take ibuprofen immediately at the sign of a headache. If that doesn't take care of it, she has an rx nasal spray(she won't take pills so it's reg migraine meds in a spray). That usually knocks her out for a few hours, like 6-7. when she wakes up, migraine is always gone. Knock on wood it happens that way again. My guess for the trigger could be lack of sleep &/or weather changes but the reno could def be triggering it, I never thought of that!

Lisa my son had migraines all his childhood and I took him to every doctor and even had MRI's done. No one could ever figure it out. He eventually was doing some reading about the side effects from Aspartame, so cut out drinking anything with Aspartame in it. That was well over three years ago and he's never had a headache since....just FYI. I've never had a migraine but sure hated what it did to my son and how much fun stuff he missed at school because of them.

Lisa, I know this is really late, but you might still see this... Anyway, a few years ago our church put new carpeting in, and I guess the chemicals really affected me. For a couple of months any time I would go into the church my eyes would get real itchy, and watery, and it would trigger a migraine. It was horrible! I had to stop playing in the orchestra for a while because my head would hurt so bad, and I couldn't read the music because of my eyes. If your daughter's migraine is from the new carpeting, maybe try to air the house out real well. I feel so bad for her because I know migraines are about the worse thing ever. I hope she feels better soon!

Thank you!! She woke up around noon & still has it but she's not totally sure it's migraine-bad anymore(no nausea now). Regardless, I'm waiting for her dr to call back. Chemicals could def be the issue! Between the new carpet & all the silicone, expanding foam, new paint, caulk....you name it, it's happening here!

Spiced Almond Cookies

These cookies are my all-time favorite! The recipe has won ribbons at fairs and applause from family and guests alike! One of the reasons I like it is that I can make the dough and freeze it. Then, when I need another batch of cookies, I take a 'log' out of the freezer, thaw it and make fresh cookies in minutes!

A hearty combination of beans, corn, tomatoes, and taco seasonings, slow cooked with shredded chicken. Top each bowl with Cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips. Made mostly of canned ingredients, this tasty soup lets the slow cooker do the work so you don't have to!
