Yager Schnitzel is prepared the same as the Wiener Schnitzel except it is pork cutlets. This is the "Poor Man's Schnitzel" in Germany.

The breading is lighter in Germany than chicken fried steak. It is awesome. Yager Schnitzel with spaetzel. Yum Yum Yum.

I lived in Vienna for many years, and most folks made schnizel with pork cutlets (thin like scallopini). I don't know what they did in Germany, but in Vienna it was served with many different salads, definitely NOT ketchup and french fries! I make them with chicken cutlets and they are delicious!

When leaving a party you say "auf wieder sehen" not "auf wiener schnitzel".
