A sweet, golden wine made from fermenting freshly steamed glutinous rice. Most rice wines are low in alcohol. The most well-known Japanese rice wines are
SAKE and
MIRIN, while Chinese renditions include Chia Fan, Hsiang Hsueh, Shan Niang and Yen Hung.
