Hello, I hope someone answered you before now. To answer your question, No. Prepared mustard is the ready to use spread or jar you buy at the market. The dry Ground Mustard you refer to is the base ingredient the store spread stuff is made from. Hope this helps.

The dry double fine ground mustard is found in the spice section of the grocery store, and the prepared mustard is found with the mayonnaises and comes in yellow, spicy, dijon and other varieties.... as thrifty cook said, "Not the same thing at all".
