While traveling in France, American Carl Sontheimer observed an industrial blender at a cooking show. Inspired, he developed a modified version for home cooks--christening it "Cuisinart" in 1973.

I just picked up a used Cuisinart (7-cup prep). Any words of advice regarding this food processor?

The books "the food processor bible" by norene gilletz AND/OR "125 best Food Processor recipes" by georgr geary ARE an alsolute Must for anyone starting out in the food processor world! My personal favorite the KA 12 cup food processor! :-)

Glad I looked in here. I'm going to buy a processor, but think I'm going to the 7 cup, simply because I cook for one normally, and my space is limited. Thanks for the hint about the "f.p. bible", as I was looking at that. Will look forward to comments about the 7 cupper. Cookiegirl
