It's 1960, and the swanky, self-admiring ad men of Madison Avenue are busy making up the rules as they go along.
What's On Tonight?
Yes, it's quite a collection of cads they've amassed at Sterling Cooper. They're boys behaving badly, through a haze of booze and cigarette smoke. "Mad Men" takes us back to a time when sexism was the law of the Ave and tobacco ads actually promoted the healthful qualities of cigarettes. Watching this show, you might squirm a little, but the writing is exceptional, and the knowledge that we've come a long way makes it even more fun to watch.
The Mad Men Menu
People are drinking constantly in this show. Here are some of the classic cocktails they're corking back.
