Rules of the Road Trip
Some fun ideas to help the miles fly by.
• Bring car games and music CDs for kids.
• Check out audio books from the library the whole family can enjoy.
• Decorate notebooks for each child to use as travel journals.
• Give each kid a disposable camera to chronicle the trip.
• Put plenty of blue ice packs in the freezer or freeze plastic bags with crushed ice.
• Pack one cooler with everyone's favorite drinks; store extras in the trunk. Add blue ice or crushed ice in the morning.
• Pack a first aid kit: band aids, bug spray, aspirin, and sunscreen.
