Pool Party Pointers
Grab a towel and a cooler full of cold drinks.
• As the temperature soars, keep all prepared food properly
chilled. Large disposable aluminum baking pans make great ice beds for bowls and platters.
• Glassware is a big poolside no-no; use unbreakable but recyclable or reusable products instead.
• Stock extra towels, goggles, sunblock, insect repellant, ponytail bands, beach balls, inflatable rafts, squirt toys, etc.
• Supply plastic bags to tote wet things home.
• Delineate the shallow end of the pool from the deep end with a rope-and-float line.
• Organize a water balloon toss, cannonball competition, or treasure dive.
"An extra-easy wonderfully refreshing cream cheese and mixed fruit pie. Perfect for picnics, hot summer nights, or even breakfast!" -- LUCYSEALE, recipe submitter
"I make this hummus all the time. It only takes a few minutes to prepare, and it's healthier without the oil. Serve with pita chips or fresh veggie slices." -- ELOVINGS, recipe submitter
