No sugar needed because of the sweetened condensed milk? And what if I only have deep dish pie pans? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and what if my pumpkin puree isn't canned but produced from home grown pumpkins?

I don't know about the sweetened condensed milk......it's pretty sweet, I don't think I'd like it, why not just do it with regular canned milk like the recipe on the can???? That pie looks awful light in color to me.

To:Debra K, Yes, you can use regular can milk and add 1/2 cup Splenda. My husband and I have to watch our sugar intake and this is the way I bake all my pies that calls for condensed milk. It does make it richer, but just as good when you think of all the sugar you are missing and taking in you body.
