I am having a ball copying recipes for summer but I have to say the making ice cream in a bag is going to be a smash. I just finished printing it and I can hardly wait to get with my 2 gradkid to have some "Homemade Ice Cream Fun" with them. I remember old fashined ice cream extravaganzas at family picnics. This won't be quite the same but the togetherness and fun will be there. Thank you for vreating this. I made a copy for my friend but wish I could send this to my friend in NH to do Linzi

Has no one ever developed an ice cream recipe that uses Splenda instead of sugar? I'm sure I'm not the only Diabetic who feels left out. I know some people cheat and have sugar, but the risk is too high for me.

Why not just swapp the sugar for splenda and see how it works out?

Joan, I'm diabetic too, but just use truvia, or "stevia in the raw" or even agave nectar and get the same results. Don't make diabetes an excuse, look at it as a challenge to come up with creative solutions-especially with cooking. I'm a dyed in the wool foodie, and I've learned how to be creative with my cooking/baking, so I'm not deprived in any way!
