Potluck Show Stoppers

By:   Allrecipes Staff

Whose dish will get eaten first?

A little-discussed but widely-known fact about potlucks is that they tend to inspire fierce competition among dedicated cooks. After all, who can hang around a potluck table without wondering whose dish disappeared the quickest? Which was the tastiest? The most labor-intensive? We intend for every one of our visitors' dishes to fly off of the table and win a spot in the non-official Potluck Hall of Fame!

Ladies and Gentlemen: Start Your Ovens

Our team of potluck specialists sifted through the tens of thousands of recipes on Allrecipes.com and selected the most marvelous potluck recipes on site. For your convenience, they are organized by category: for example, if the host of the potluck assigns you to bring a dish to grill, look under the main dish category; if you're assigned a salad, look under the salad category.

If you are the head honcho of this year's potluck, plan your party with these recipes, and e-mail suggestions to your friends and family for what dishes they will bring along.

I could spend hours just reading thru the recipes and suggestions from this site. I could entertain every night, cook 24/7, and still not have time to exhaust all the suggestions here.

I get so excited when I see so many wonderful recipes to try, if only I could decide which one to choose first!
