Meal Ideas: A Southern Vacation

I have to say, I really got into cooking about three years ago--I got kicked in the face by my horse and it was the only thing I could find to do that didn't compromise the surgeries I had to have done. But now I'm 23 years old with a 1-year-old daughter and I love to cook. I throw dinner parties and bake things for my neighbors and people at church all the time. I am currently enrolling back into college to take some culinary classes and maybe open my own bakery.

Favorite things to cook: I love to bake, cookies, cheesecakes, bread, etc., but I pretty much cook anything and everything I can--always from scratch. I use mostly organic ingredients, but occasionally have to throw in some commercial foods. I also have a lot of animals so I am always trying to come up with new recipes to make for them.

Cooking tragedies: I used to have a hard time with yeast. I could never get it to rise, and I would put it in the oven anyway...big mistake.
