When Canadian researchers compared mood changes in 212 patients being treated for high cholesterol, they found that people who reduced their levels of total cholesterol and LDL also reported feeling less anxious, with women showing the greatest improvement. There has always been a thread running through medical literature suggesting a correlation between mood and cholesterol levels. The reason for these findings, researchers speculate, may simply have to do with the mental boost you get when you improve your health.
