Had your EGCG Today?

By:   Jean Carper

Science, which previously linked green tea to lower cholesterol and blood sugar, now finds that three cups of green tea may have enough of the potent antioxidant EGCG to fight cancer and heart disease. In Japanese tests, EGCG deactivated a growth protein on human lung cancer cells. At Boston University, patients with vascular dysfunction, a trigger for heart attack, were nearly normal two hours after taking 300mg EGCG.
