45 minutes should take into account the fact it takes an hour to go to the store to get 30 different ingredients. I am not sure most people keep jasmine rice and shittake mushrooms around at home. Quick meals should equal a reasonable number of ingredients.

frugadc, just pick a recipe with fewer ingredients...there are many...and actually some people who cook a lot do keep jasmine rice and shitakke mushrooms (they come in dried form) at home

I am hooked on AR! A helpful hint to all of us who like quick and easy meals...there are lists available on the net for a well stocked kitchen. I try to keep those items on hand most of the time, and the feezer is a good place to keep whipping cream, buttermilk, grated cheese etc. I try to chop extra onion, pepper and celery when I cook so I can freeze for times when I am in a rush.
