I really wanted to see how to handle cutting the rest of the cake. I think anyone can cut the edge of the bottom layer, but what about the center portions? I r=would really like to see a part 2 added to this demo.

I have to agree w/the two previous posters-I want to learn how to cut/disassemble the ENTIRE cake so there isn't a mess at the cake table. I think that stacked tiers are very elegant, but a cake with pillars seems so much easier to serve. A side note: I froze my top tier and it was actually just as good as on our wedding day. I placed it in a large airtight container after wrapping it in plastic wrap and aluminum foil. It was a little crumbly, but tasted great!

I am with everyone else. It was frustrating to click on a video that should have shown how to disassemble the cake for cutting and then how to properly cut the pieces so you will get 100 as they said the cake should serve. If you take the top off for freezing, you would not have that layer for cutting so it would be nice to know the specifics.

I've been baking wedding cakes for many years. Removing the top layer (Bride's cake) and freezing it can be done successfully. After the ceremony, the top cake is placed in the freezer just as it is-no covering. The next day, cover frozen cake with good quality plastic wrap (Saran), then wrap cake again in foil. Place in a cake box suited for the size. Seal with tape, wrap box in foil and return to freezer for 1st anniversary. It will taste as fresh as when it was baked and decorated. To cut cake after removing top layer is simple. Cut an inner circle in the center of cake two inches from edge, then cut pieces as shown in video. The inner circle can then be sliced by cutting across (half) the cutting across again (4 pieces) as so on, according to the size of cake Each layer will have a cardboard circle under it. The pieces should not crumble. Best wishes!

I saved my cake, in a thick clear plastic bag! I simply sucked the air out, and tied it with a rubber band and it was just as good as the day of my wedding!

So . . . for storage: 'under a shady tree'. For quantity: '100 pieces of cake for 100 guests'. There isn't any ingenuious info here. They don't even show how to cut the rest of the cake! This is a really bad video!
