This recipe is easy but for those like myself who do not own a mixer like the one on the video, cannot make this recipe. Isn't there another way to mix without using the mixer?

Don't know why you couldn't use a hand mixer. Just adjust the speeds as shown in the video

The machine only makes it easier on the arm, you just have to heat the bowl you are using a little and it will ease the mallases when you put it in the bowl and it won't kill your arm... my grandma's little trick...
