Chili Cook-Offs 2009

Looking for a great way to spice up your summer? Go to a chili cook-off!

Whatever your preference--for chili verde or red chili, beef or beans--you'll find a new favorite chili at your local cook-off. The rules for the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) state, "NO FILLERS IN CHILI: Beans, macaroni, rice, hominy, or other similar ingredients are not permitted." Many regional competitions determine eligibility for the annual CASI cook-off in Terlingua, Texas--the epicenter of chili contests for more than forty years.
