Chilean Wine Regions: San Antonio Valley

By:   Carl Hanson

A wine region so hot, it's Chile!

Take a look at some of Chile's most exciting winemaking regions and get recipes to pair with the wines that are being made there.

San Antonio Valley

The San Antonio Valley might just be a speck of a region between the Pacific Coast and the Maipo Valley, but it produces some of Chile's best Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The Pacific Ocean has a major effect on the climate here, keeping temperatures cool and ensuring a long growing season. Syrah is also doing well in the San Antonio Valley, producing a cooler-weather, fresh, and food-friendly style.
