In a recent survey, we asked people about their wine-drinking preferences. Almost 3,000 people responded. The overwhelming preference was for red wine: 62% favored red over white.
Miles--the wine snob in the movie "Sideways"--might cringe, but Merlot was picked as the favorite red wine by our Allrecipes Wine Survey respondents. Finishing a close second was Merlot's Bordeaux sibling, Cabernet Sauvignon.
