I've been looking for smoothie recipes and am very disappointed that most of these have negligible amounts of protein and lots of sugar.

Smoothies are fruit drinks. Fruits have a lots of sugar. But I would use stevia glycoside powder instead of sugar.

Or you can just not add sugar... as you said fruits already have lots of sugar, why add more? Plus, I don't care what anyone says sugar substitutes are not good for you... it took 15 years before anyone knew aspartame was bad... that's why its banned in many European countries. I'm not saying its in all, but as far as I'm concerned if its not the real deal then its worse for you... just like diet sodas...

I like the look of this one personally: Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie Lots of protein and fiber from the oatmeal, low fat from soy milk. can exclude the sugar if you like. Since I have a dairy allergy I would use 1 cup of water and 1 scoop of vanilla soy protein (shaklee) and obviously I would not need additional vanilla extract.

Use fat free or skim milk to make it healthier. Also, add granola in. Delish. Add healthy ingredients to it. Amazing taste
