Advertising Campaign Manager
Taste of Home is the nation’s largest circulation cooking magazine. This is an exciting opportunity to make a
difference with a rapidly growing company which is at a pivotal juncture in its history. Our on-line audience is growing rapidly
and our business is expanding. Taste of Home and Tasteofhome.com is owned by Reader’s Digest Association. This
position is based in Seattle, but will require occasional travel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and implement advertising campaigns to ensure accurate impression, performance, and revenue delivery.
- Ensure clients’ ads are trafficked, monitored, and optimized.
- Maximize campaign performance and company revenue by preparing reports, analyzing data (performance and delivery), preparing recommendations and initiating tactical optimizations (creative execution and strategy, placement evaluation, day-parting, frequency capping, etc.) to further increase success rate and renew/grow current business.
- Accurate scheduling and trafficking of contracts from the contract management system (AdBook) to the ad-serving platform (DART for Publishers).
- Maintain QA process for all advertisements, assuring all ads meet creative specifications and are tracked properly.
- Coordinate with sales, client, creative, and other departments for set-up and implementation of campaigns.
- Provide weekly pacing reports for all ads and provide suggested measures to ensure full revenue expectations are realized.
- Create end-of-month third-party delivery reports for billing reconciliation.
- Update contract management system (Fat Tail) with campaign change orders (campaign delays, optimizations, etc.) and alert team of changes that will affect revenue.
- Reduce account attrition by ensuring program goals are met and exceeded.
- Provide existing/historical program feedback during proposal process to generate compelling renewable advertising programs.
Qualifications
- High attention to detail required.
- Experience using Internet, email, proficient in Excel, and experience with data entry into databases.
- Must enjoy and effectively build relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Minimum of six months experience with ad-serving systems required; Understanding of ad yield and performance metrics preferred.
- 4-year degree in marketing, business, communications or related field preferred, but additional relevant experience can substitute.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently under tight time restrictions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires ability to sit and work at computer for most of the work day.

Our Software Engineers participate in all areas of development, including front-end, back-end processes and middle-tier
development, and internal applications. This position reports to the Software Engineering Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of the following technologies:
- Object Oriented design and programming techniques
- Service-Oriented Architecture
- SQL – Stored Procedures, User-defined functions
- .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0 and beyond
- C# - Interfaces, Generics, and Delegates
- ASP.NET – Web Services, User Controls, Custom Server Controls
- HTML, CSS, DHTML, client-scripting with JavaScript
- Familiarity with following technologies:
- Flash and ActionScript
- XSLT
- AJAX
- Must be a self-starter needing little direction and capable of working in a fast-paced development environment.
- Must be willing to work from detailed specifications as well as being able to design and implement projects independently.
- Candidates should be willing to participate in QA, Testing, HTML development, as well as providing internal support and operational support.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.

- Culinary degree or food industry experience preferred.
- Lawfully permitted to work in the U.S.
