What can I do with Allrecipes Mobile?
Use mobile.allrecipes.com to search for recipes like you do on a computer.
How does the mobile site work?
First, you will need to enter the URL into your mobile device’s web browser. You can then search for
recipes. You can conduct either a Quick Search or an Ingredient Search. The Quick Search functions the same way it
does on the site. The Ingredient Search allows you to search for two ingredients you want plus a keyword.
Just like the website, you can view the ingredients and directions along with other important information including the
Recipe Reviews. You can also scale and convert the recipe.
Can I sort the search results?
Unfortunately, the Sort By function is not available via mobile.allrecipes.com at this time.
Do I have access to my Recipe Box via the mobile site?
No. This feature might be available at a future date.
What do I need to use this service?
Availability of some services depends on the device, carrier, and service plan you have. You need a color screen mobile
phone with active Internet capabilities. Most new color screen phones have this capability; however please check your account
to make sure you have activated this capability. The question to ask your provider if you are not sure is, “Can I get
to the Internet on this phone?”
Depending on your phone model, you might see different versions of our search interface. We cannot guarantee
mobile.allrecipes.com will work on your handset, so if you have any issues, please email us at
TheStaff@allrecipes.com and
we can look into it.
Why does it take so long for my results to load?
We’ve done our best to minimize the load time for search results, but current mobile phone technology limits
download speeds. Please know we appreciate your patience.
Does it cost anything to use this service?
Allrecipes does not charge you anything to use the mobile.allrecipes.com service. However, your cell phone provider
might have charges to browse the Internet on your phone. You can find this out based upon who your carrier is and what plan you
have.
What is a mobile device?
Mobile devices are pagers, mobile phones, Web phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and Internet appliances. Mobile
devices allow you to communicate with others and get information anywhere, at any time.
If I have any other questions or comments, who can I contact?
To report any technical issues, please email us at
TheStaff@allrecipes.com.
Please send us detailed information about the recipe you are trying to view, your cellular service provider, and your
mobile device make and model.
