The My Favorite Way to Use Almonds Sweepstakes (“the sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Allrecipes.com, a subsidiary of the Reader's Digest Association, Inc. Sweepstakes begins 12:01AM PST November 19, 2008 and ends 11:59 PM PST March 19, 2009.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal residents age 21 and older of the United States, its territories and possessions. To be eligible to win, all entries must be received by 11:59 PM (PST) on March 19, 2009, the Sweepstakes Deadline Date. Entrants must have a valid email address at the time of entry. Employees and members of the immediate families of employees of the Readers Digest Association, Allrecipes.com and The Almond Board of California and their affiliated or subsidiary companies, judging agents and promotion partners are not eligible. Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the U.S.A. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

2. HOW TO ENTER. You can enter this Sweepstakes via the Internet. Please go to http://allrecipes.com/Features/Sweepstakes/AlmondBoard.aspx and follow the online entry instructions. You will have the option of submitting your Favorite Ways to Use Almonds idea for consideration for publication on our website. Please see paragraph 3 below for Submissions conditions. No Submission is required as part of entry into the sweepstakes. Only one entry per person per email address is permitted. All entries become the property of Allrecipes.com and the Almond Board and will not be returned. If multiple entries are received, only the first entry will be included and later entries will be disqualified. Each entry has an equal chance to win. Any dispute regarding submission of online entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organizations (e.g. business, educational institute) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Allrecipes.com in its sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the operation of the website or the entry process.

3. SUBMISSION CONDITIONS: You may also submit your Favorite Ways to Use Almonds based upon the recipes listed in the Almond Board Recipe collection found here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/Trusted-Brands-Recipes-and-Tips/Almond-Board/Main.aspx (the “submission”) while you are on the site. However, whether you make the submission or not has no bearing on your entry into the sweepstakes, which will occur as outlined in Section 2. When you make a submission the following conditions will apply. All Submissions must be the original work of entrant and not previously published. Submission must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity. All Submissions become the property of Allrecipes.com and The Almond Board of California and will not be returned. By submitting your idea you are granting Allrecipes.com and/or The Almond Board of California all rights, titles and interest in the Submission. Allrecipes.com and The Almond Board of California reserve the right to use your Submission in all print and electronic media, and to edit it for brevity and clarity.

4. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE: One Grand prize of $5,000 will be awarded. Five runners up will each receive one almond snack tin. Each tin fits one ounce of almonds, but does not come filled with almonds. Each tin is worth approximately $5.00 USD.

5. SELECTION OF WINNER: All winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about April 15, 2009. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Approximate odds of winning are 1 in 300,000. Winners will be notified by mail (and those with known email addresses may be notified by email as well) within 30 (thirty) days of the drawing and will be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release and Payment Authorization and have such documents notarized within 30 (thirty) days of prize notification attempt or Winner will be disqualified and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entry and/or acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Allrecipes.com, The Almond Board of California and their agencies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies (the “Sweepstakes entities”) to use the winners' names, addresses (city and state) and/or likenesses for advertising and trade purposes (including internet posting) without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, unless prohibited by law.

6. SWEEPSTAKES CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Allrecipes.com. The Almond Board of California is not liable for, late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, garbled or jumbled, stolen, postage due mail or illegible entries or for printing, distribution or production errors. Allrecipes.com is not liable for any technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer internet system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this sweepstakes, or other technical difficulties or failures or other errors of any kind. Allrecipes.com is not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer and/or its contents, related to or resulting from Sweepstakes. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Allrecipes.com reserves the right to terminate or modify the Sweepstakes at any time for any reason. In such circumstances prizes will be awarded based on entries received prior to date of termination. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for, and shall be indemnified by, the prize winners, against any claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, use, misuse, possession, or loss of the prize. Prizes will be awarded.

If you would rather we not share information, wish to receive a list of winners, a copy of the Official Rules, have any questions about the Sweepstakes, or you do not want to receive future sweepstakes or skill contest mailings from Allrecipes.com, specify your request and send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Allrecipes.com, 3317 3rd Avenue South, Seattle, Washington 98134.
