Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
These are fantastic!! I made a batch for my family and they loved them. Be sure to not overcook them, I found that the ten minutes was perfect and gave them a crispy outside and a softer center. Also make sure you chill the dough a bit. I too added some extra flour and peanut butter (about 1/4 cup of each) and rolled the balls in sugar before pressing them with a fork. Super rich and tasty!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
I was craving peanut butter cookies so i decided to try these. Not the best, but they would work in a pinch or for a gluten-free diet. I followed someone else's advice and used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I also added a dash of vanilla and a teaspoon of baking powder. I found that they baked well but were too grainy from the sugar.

Absolutely Delicious Stuffed Calamari

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
As you can see in my picture, they aren't very pretty. So I gotta meet half way with my review. The idea is there. The flavors can be manipulated. But when it comes down to it, they were a pain to stuff and didn't look that visually appealing in the end. I tried to work around the texture by just frying the assembled "tubes" and doing the sauce on the side. It still looked like a plate full of blown up balloons I was serving. My best advice is to do what I did in frying em up, only bread em or toss through some flour/crumbs first to take away that texture and unnappealing appearance. . .

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This cake was delicious! I made half recipe in a 9x9 square pan I used less oil, approximately 1/4 c. as well as less sugar, about 1/3 c. I also substituted walnuts for pecans. My family ate it in about 1 day.

Seasoned Short Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This homemade BBQ sauce is so easy. I didn't have time to slow cook the short ribs due to poor planning so instead I did 400F in on convection bake for 2 hours. My husband say 5 stars ... and that's VERY RARE!

Quick and easy for a homemade dinner! Loved the flavor! My husband was surprised although I told him it wasn't Italian; I think he was expecting it to taste like your usually Italian red sauce.

I liked it but my husband didn't. It was just ok. London Broil should be marinated, not coated.

Rhubarb Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
My husband liked it but said he's like more rhubarb. He isn't a peach person so I made a half and half dish of apples (for him) and peaches (for me). It's a good alternative to other desserts.

Creamy Onion Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
Pretty darn tasty. . . I think real garlic always supercedes using just powder when the occasion arises. Other than that keep to the recipe. Watch out for that always tricky broiler though. The thick creaminess of the topping is more susceptible to burn than most things. Literally a window of just a few seconds between done and burning. But just slice it up once its done and toss the pieces in a bread basket like you would with any other loaf and I guarantee it will be a party favorite. . .

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
What a great base! I used stew beef instead so we had chunks of beef. I made this as a cold dish by cooking it in the crockpot for 5 hours on high then refrigerating it. I dished it up with cheader cheese, sour cream, and avocado. CHANGES: I used a 15oz can of tomato sause. I added some green cabbage to hide another veggie in it. I diced it thin like an onion and just through some in the pot... no one noticed/knew.
