We all love these enchiladas! I do everything exactly the same but after I put the sauce mixture over the enchiladas, I put more shredded montery jack cheese on top with green onion and tomato. Its so pretty! and taste even better with extra cheese :)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Phenomenal. I was worried about mixing raw eggs with warm milk (and making scrambled eggs in the bread machine) but I slowly mixed the eggs with the melted butter and then put it in the warm milk. Also, I used others reviews and put the cinnamon rolls into the dish, covering & refridgerating overnight, then sticking into a cold oven & setting the oven at 350, and leaving them for 30 minutes. I also flipped the cinnamon rolls upside down on a sheet to serve so all the delicious "goo" at the bottom of the rolls could fall down and evenly distribute. They came out perfectly, everyone was so impressed. The consistency of the dough is soft all the way through, with no hard edges or raw centers. I love this recipe!

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
Quick and easy! Used 1% milk. After reading others notes I decided to throw a couple of ice cubes in and then refrigerate for 10 minutes before enjoying to give it an extra chill. YUM! Didn't know if I would like the peanut butter/banana mixture, made it more for my girls.. turns out I liked it better than they did =)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
Loved it! Easy enough to make and tasted wonderful! I had a rotisserie chicken that needed to be used so I skipped adding the chicken to the veggies to boil. Instead I added diced potato to the veggies and boiled the veggies and potato in chicken broth, then incorporated the diced chicken after draining the potato/veggies. The potato addition was a must for me.. can't imagine pot pie without it! I used a store bought pie crust (which came out great) but will step it up next time and make my own =)

Chocolate Mint Grasshopper Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I loved this pie! I am all for easy desserts, and this one is super simple. Now, I did change it a touch, but only in terms of the flavor of pudding I utilized for this sweet venture while increasing the cookie ratio as well. Hubby and I wanted a more pronounced mint flavor than what we believed would happen if we stuck with the original recipe, so I used Chocolate Mint Chip. Also, I did not melt chocolate to drizzle on top. The cookies we purchased were not the double stuffed, so just in case that made a big difference, I doubled the cookies. After tasting it, I'm sure I could cut that down and create a solid mint flavor, but I thought I should mention this change as well. This recipe is a keeper!

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
This was awesome.. my family was begging for more and I even doubled the recipe and served over leftover rice. Simple and easy!! One thing I changed was that I used Splenda instead of sugar because it was all I had. I don't think it made a difference at all.. except in cals/carbs. Will make this again and again! Better than take-out!

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Recipe was great but i did add a little nutmeg and made the crunchy topping another reviewer suggested. The recipe for the topping was as follows: "The crunchy crust recipe is this: -1 cup brown sugar -1 cup all-purpose flour -2 tablespoons butter or margarine -2 teaspoons cinnamon -1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Mix it all together really well and crumble on top of the batter prior to baking." If you make the topping it calls for way to little butter to make the topping hold together - without about 4x the butter the topping will be powdery and simply fall off. I have also used this recipe as a base for banana bread and works fine for that as well. For a little twist I added 12 oz of milk chocolate chips to the loaves - wasn't overpowering but left a hint of sweetness and chocolate.

Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Agree with other posters it is way too thin esp without the milk. The other thing to be mindful of is pick a good quality cocoa powder and make sure the taste compliments the dish. After using it for the desert we saved the syrup and used it to make hot chocolate that was a step above 90% of hot cocoa mixes.

Crabmeat and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I gave this four stars because it was a bit bland when I tried to follow the recipe exactly. Also, the corn and green onions were really slow to cook when I tried to cook them in the milk/half&half mixture. If I cook this again, I will cook the corn & onions for a few minutes in the butter/flour mix then add the milk and half&half to bring out their flavor and soften them up. I added a celery stick (chopped) and some garlic powder, as well as a LOT more salt & pepper than called for to spice it up a little. Like I said, it was bland. That said, once I did all of that it turned out pretty delicious. I made this for my parents and my step-dad raved about it. I also kept big chunks of fresh crab in there, which was very good!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I was hoping the apple would give some nice sweetness to it, but unfortunately it pretty much just dissolved during cooking and didn't seem to add much of anything. Next time I will add golden raisins instead. Other than that, it was very good!
