About me:
I come from a family of great cooks. My Dad used to come home from traveling and cook up whatever he'd enjoyed in another country -- Brazilian food, Italian, French. I came home from school one day and the kitchen was festooned in fresh pasta hanging from ski poles he was using for drying racks. My mom is a good cook too but my Dad is more outrageous.

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed on Jul. 7, 2009 by SeattleFrettchen
This is a great recipe! Perfect for an ex-patriot craving a little bit of home. These came out just like the muffins I used to get at my favorite coffee shop in my hometown. The only thing I did was add a little extra lemon zest and a tiny bit of lemon juice to the muffin batter and I doubled the flour called for the streusel to make it easier to crumble.

Delicious, easy and great consistency. Very true caramel flavor and delicious on banana cake. A family and neighborhood favorite.

Dumplings

Reviewed on Jun. 22, 2009 by SeattleFrettchen
This is a great budget stretcher! The dumplings taste great, are very very easy to make and all from stuff that you already have in your kitchen. I love that you can use the ol' "that looks about right" for the measurements and they still turn out great.
