About me:
I grew up a military brat of a retired Air Force Lt. Col., my mother has always been into cooking and I guess I inherited her desires and somewhat her abilities to cook. As a kid, we always had things on the table that most normal American families didn't have. From an early age I learned to like "foreign" cooking. Now, having been married for five years to my second wife, I find myself doing most of the cooking since my wife does most of the working currently. We both are very good cooks, but I like to cook more than she does. :) I do most of my cooking by memory and taste, so I am working on trying to get my recipes into some kind of order.

Cheesy Potato Salad

Yummmmmy! I made it with just a pinch of sugar, and it was so nice. A nice change of pace for a potato salad, and great with various grilled meats.

Cassie's Zucchini Brownies

Awesome! I added semi-sweet chocolate chips (about a cup I think) and they turned out soooo good. They were a little bit cakey, but that made them a little easier to send in school and work lunches. The best part was, nobody knew there was zucchini! My husband didn't even know until he happened to see a little piece of green in one bite.

Chicken Kabobs Mexicana

Reviewed on Aug. 12, 2008 by DAYDREAMFREEK
So good! I didn't have any tomatoes, but they were so yummy even without them. We added a little bit of extra cilantro and used a sweet white onion. I'll definitely be making this many times- fast, easy, healthy and delicious!
