About me:
I am married to my husband of 7 years and we have a 6 year old. I love to sing, and love to cook, so I usually sing while I am cooking! I am insecure about my cooking, but it does go well most the time. I find I always have to follow a recipe, otherwise I end up messing things up, sometimes something as simple as boiling water! Im really just kidding about that, but you know what I mean!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed on Jun. 22, 2009 by Carrie
I marinated this a total of 27 hours, and it was delicious!!! It was extremely tender and we gobbled it up! I didn't have any ginger on hand, but it turned out great without it! ++

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed on May 8, 2009 by Carrie
This is an excellent recipe. The meat was so juicy and tender. The carrots and celery had a very nice smokey flavor to them, which I had never experienced, but loved! Am definitely going to be making this again.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed on Apr. 7, 2009 by Carrie
I almost feel like it is doing it an injustice reviewing it here, when I made so many changes, but would like to respect the original poster. Here is what I did: I used 6 Pork chops, seared them on both sides in a frying pan with 1TSP olive oil, then set into a casserole dish. I then used a stick of butter, melted that, and added 8 tsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg. I cut peeled and cut up 4 granny smith apples and tossed them in there too. After the sauce was bubbly, and the apples slightly cooked, I poured the whole thing over the pork chops in the casserole dish, covered it, and baked in a 350° oven for 30-45 minutes (I checked it at 30mins.. wasnt quite done so i kept it in for 45mins). It was juicy, succulent, and delicious. Will definitely put into our regular rotation.
