Bellingham,Washington is within reach of just about anything anyone might want. Mount Baker offers mountain sports while lakes, rivers and a bay indulge water enthusiasts. Its downtown is coming back to life after a new mall nearly killed it in the mid 80’s. Historic Fairhaven satisfies that craving for cobblestones and brick, and the city’s waterfront is something to gawk at. For those who need the occasional taste of the big city, both Vancouver, B.C., and Seattle are within 80 miles, north and south respectively. Overall, residents have an appreciation for local foods like fresh seafood from the areas waters or lush produce just plucked from a nearby organic garden. The restaurant scene is eclectic and contemporary but remembers its traditional roots. Whether it’s Italian, Asian, Mexican, Spanish, Greek, or American (Northwest-style), there are several restaurants that do it exceptionally well with their own twist. Hungry, but not sure where to start? Just head downtown or to Fairhaven—you can’t go wrong.

About me: I met a wonderful man and moved to Montana in 2000 and married him. I am 31 years older than he is.. and we have been happily married for 5 and a half years now. Today i enjoy creating beauty whether it be cooking or gardening , painting landscapes w/ oils or volunteering at the local soup kitchen. I also make indoor ponds for local art galleries. For me the joy of living is looking for oppurtunites to give daily. From a recipe to a smile to a helping hand when God places someone in my path..for me the pearl of great price is living minutely..
