Chicken Marsala

This recipe will definately impress anyone you serve it too! My guest only complaint was that there wasn't enough 'sauce'. I added just a little flour water to make it a little more gravy like - even the kids loved it!

Sour Cream Pumpkin Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
Wow -- this was great! I did add just a little extra pumpkin (couple of tablespoons) in response to other reviews, but I suspect that I didn't need to. I started checking for doneness at 45 minutes, and wound up baking for one hour. We like strong flavors, so I used orange juice concentrate instead of orange juice for the glaze. We will surely make this again!

Chocolate Syrup

After finding out that Hershey's syrup has high fructose corn syrup in it, I knew I would never buy it again. This is a delicious recipe for a very similar type chocolate syrup. My husband and son are very happy with it!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
3 out of 3 of us rated this 5 stars! Put this together in 15 mins. and when we ate it, it tasted like it could have taken hours to make. I left everything exactly as written and wanted to make that homemade taco seasoning that the reviewer said but i just didn't have the time. after dishing this up, i put crunched up tortilla chips in, shredded extra sharp cheddar and a big dollop of sour cream. Made a batch of corn bread and we were in heaven. Having for lunch today! will make this often and use the beer, it's wonderful!

Emily's Famous Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
Great Recipe!! I was looking for a basic chili recipe and found this one to be a Great Chii or a Great start depending on your taste. I can't do too much heat very well, but you can always adjust. I made a few changed according to my tastes. I added more garlic, less Much less chipoteles about 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoons (which I have on had already pureed frozen in tablespoon portions), happened to have a can of jalapintos on hand (pinto beans cooked and canned with jalapenos) so omitted the jalapenos, omitted the rice vinegar, and flour. I added refried beans in place of the flour and next time will cut back the cumin. But will tell ya if I wanted more heat I would have followed the recipe to the letter. it is GREAT! Thanks for Sharing with all of us.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
ok, this was amazing! Made this Sunday for my sons Birthday and the whole family loved it. even the kids were chowing on this. made as written but think i added a touch more green chilies and also baked in oven instead of microwave. used the small baguette breads that I broiled in oven for a few minutes and it was really the best for this dip. This is now going to be at all gatherings from here on out and so quick and easy to make!

Pork and Green Chile Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This was so fantastic! I had about a half of a pork loin roast i had made for dinner one night and decided to use it up a little differently this time. Glad I found this recipe! instead of brown instant rice I used my regular jasmine and since I didn't have any black beans on hand, used 2 cans of white beans and 2 cans of diced tomatoes so that the casserole would be more moist. used a mexican blend of shredded cheese as well and boy did our entire family really dig this dish!! we had it for left=overs at least twice which is rare in this house! Thanks and I WILL make this again!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This was delicious! I had two chicken breasts I needed to use and needed to make a quick dinner. I didn't have pasta sauce but opened a can of stewed tomatoes and added all the italian seasonings and garlic etc. to beef it up. I also used some shredded mozzarella cheese for the top. I browned the chicken put them on the bed of sauce and baked for about 20 mins. then added the cheese on top and baked another 10 mins. fantastic dinner, hubby and I loved it.

Brandy Flamed Peppercorn Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
So incredibly good and impressive! Oh how I love the peppery flavor! I didn't used the full three tablespoons of pepper. I put three tablespoons in my mortar to crush but I only pressed about 2 tablespoons into the steaks. I kept adding pepper until there was a nice even layer with not all the meat covered...and turns out that was about 2 tablespoons for my steaks. The steaks I bought were not thick so I cooked for about 7 min on each side. I removed them from the pan and let the sauce thicken a bit more. Definately garnish with sliced green onion, it makes the flavor so much more amazing.

Polynesian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
So in my search for satisfying "diet" food, I wanted new salads to eat. This is soooo flavorfull and yummy, I actually crave it every week. I would reccomend OMITTING the salt. It is plenty salty enough using the soy sauce. I would also recommend slicing (very thin) your cabbage rather then buying the pre bagged stuff. It adds more flavor and juiciness. I also add my dressing right to my bowl of salad right before I eat it.I am going to start using Braggs liquid amino acids. It has 1/3 of the sodium then soy sauce and is actually good for you and tasts the same. Look for it in the health food section by the cider vinager.PLEASE, PLEASE make this. You wont be sorry! I make it at least 2 times a week, and I am not sick of it yet! Also, add the cilantro righ to the dressing, otherwise it stick to the sides of the bowl instead of being"IN" the salad. Enjoy friends. I know you will love it.

Beefy Beef Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This was a rather odd chili, but good-tasting. I wasn't sure of the purpose of the beef stew, nor the brand/kind so I added one large can of Dinty Moore. I also substituted V8 for the tomato juice, but put half of the amount called for (one 11-oz can), as I like my chili thicker. It was ready in the 30 minutes that my cornbread took!

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
This turned out perfectly. The cheesecake didn't crack or sink. It looked as good as it tasted. I topped it with chocolate curls and served with raspberry sauce. I skipped the chocolate chips only because I forgot to buy them. I did put a pan of water on a lower rack of the oven while baking the cheesecake portion. Partly to prevent cracking and partly to catch any leakage from the springform pan.
