This recipe was excellent! I only changed a few things... I used 1 1/2 golden potatoes cubed, Beau Mond seasoning instead of celery seeds, I also added a teaspoon of chili powder to the sauce. I used chicken stock instead of water to simmer the chicken mixture which I then used as part of the broth for the sauce. I increased the sauce by 50%. I also followed the instruction of several previous reviewers and brushed the pastry with egg whites. My husband literally could not stop talking about this dish for TWO DAYS!

Wouldn't you know, the day this recipe came my way, I had all the ingredients...well subbing chicken tenders for thighs, using fresh green beans,broccoli, mushrooms,and onions...and it was sooooo good! I also had leftover mashed potatoes for the gravy. I did try to thicken the soup mix with a little flour/water and it was still a little runny, but my husband and I loved it! I used cream of mushroom soup. I didn't use all the pepper it called for, and sprinkled the cheese (shredded mix of cheese)on top at the end of baking. Yum!

Move over Almond Roca!! This is the best. I followed the recipe to the tea and it was delicious! I was worried at first because I've never been very good at making candy, but this truly was easy!

These were rather dry and the jello gave them a funny taste. Even the kids didn't eat these.

First of all - YUM!!! If you have a mouthful of sweet-teeth, you'll love this! That being said, less sugar won't hurt. Also, the pan suggested in the recipe is WAY TOO SMALL! I bought some throw-away pans at Wal-Mart (9" round but about 4" deep). Definitely a new favorite around our house.

These were great and the kids ate them up. I also did a batch with maple extract instead of vanilla and those went faster than the vanilla ones!

Very good. I creamed the sugar and butter like another reader suggested and that worked out beautifully. However, I think the cook time should be reduced. I cooked it for 60 min. and the outside was overcooked and tough. The cake had a wonderful flavor though! I'll make it again, except, I'll reduce the cooking time.

Not sure what these taste like, I charred them to a crisp following the directions. I even took the advice of another review and didn't toast the bread beforehand. I must not have much luck with my broiler or the directions need to be edited

I'm not sure what these tast like becuase I couldn't make them! I had no idea that phyllo dough was such a pain in the neck. Definitely make these if you have lots of time and don't make them for a party unless you've practiced a couple of times.

Delicious and super easy. Will make again.
