About me:
I work full time in an office, then home to the dogs. I have recently hooked up with a great guy who appreciates having a homemade meal made for him. He has a daughter who is a vegetarian, so I'm looking foward to learning to make healthy meatless meals to satisfy all.

Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed on Nov. 19, 2009 by amoeggy
This was just okay in my opinion. I followed the recipe as written and found it to be a little cakey and kind of boring. My husband thought it was like banana bread with cranberries. I will probably not make it again.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed on Nov. 18, 2009 by Goldilocks19
Yum! I found 6 frozen cube steaks at our local Grocery Outlet for less than $4. They were perfect for this recipe. Followed the directions except went a little light on the hot sauce. Our entire family loved it. They only suggested that I use garlic in the gravy. Will do that next time, and there WILL be a next time! Thanks smylpurty for a great recipe!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed on Nov. 18, 2009 by bountifullady
I thought this pie was fine, not great. I did add 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg. It is very syrupy and so although it tasted good & looked lovely, it was a little too wet for my taste.
