Absolutely one of my favorites. I love cheese and add extra most of the time. This one is a keeper!

Apple Cranberry Pie

I love the different ingredients in this pie. I've made it several times and it always comes out great. I use half the cranberries, though. Just enough to get a little kick!

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This was good, but not near creamy enough. Perhaps it was my own fault because I didn't use cream but a mixture of milk and butter. It had a good taste though.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
very good, easy, and basic. It gives a good homemade taste and look to the pizza. I've made this so many times I've lost count. It's the only pizza crust recipe I use. However, I haven't had much luck using whole wheat flour.

Fabulous! I made this for a friend and saved some for myself. It was great, and I never would have guessed there was pumpkin.

not quite like what I'd buy at Starbucks, but good nonetheless. I didn't add the white chocolate chips.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
Oh my gosh, this was so good! I halved the recipe and only did one chicken. Beforehand, I separated the skin from the meat and oiled (olive oil) the meat so it'd be more moist. I also put the marinade/rub on the meat as well as the skin. It could have been spicier for my taste, but it had a great texture and flavor. Roasting it at a low temp. for 5 hours was a great way to cook it! I'll do that from now on when roasting a chicken.

Spicy Indian Chicken Curry Yummy

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
This was good, but not like Indian restaurants. It could have been because I used chicken breasts instead of thighs, omitted the cardamom and coriander because I didn't have any. It needed a bit of salt to get the full flavor. It was spicy though, which was good because I'm pregnant and heard that spicy food induces labor and I'm ready to have this baby!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

This was super easy, fast and tasty! I omitted the frozen mixed veggies because my husband doesn't like them. I may try next time using less broth or water to make it more like a stew.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
This was SO good and SO easy! I was nervous that it wouldn't pass the husband test but he loved it too. I used mozzarella cheese instead of swiss. The bread crumbs were a nice touch, different from other Cordon Bleu recipes I've tried.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
This dessert is really good! I give it 5 stars because I know if I'd followed the recipe exactly, it would be been better. I used half butter and half margarine, and it just wasn't the right texture, it was flaky and gritty instead of caramely. I will certainly make it again, and follow the recipe exactly.

This was very good. I accidentally added some canned diced green chilis (I was making "Fabulous Wet Burritos" at the same time) and it turned out really good...added some extra spice. Great leftovers for breakfast burritos.

These burritos were really good. I made them for my parents and they were a hit. Next time I will make more ground beef mixture because it seemed like there wasn't enough for the amount of red sauce and other toppings.
