Chewy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
Better than a PB&J! I always use butter, and natural PB. The batter is thick, but they bake up moist and chewy. I loved that they weren't too sweet- a great alternative to a chocolate brownie, and one that the kids can eat more than one of without bouncing off the walls!

Great flavor! I used all-purpose flour, and it didn't seem to compromise the texture too much. A huge hit with the Birthday girl!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
I followed the recipe word for word. I baked it for 20 minutes, and it came out beautifully. I love the crunch of the streusel topping, and the inside of the muffin is moist and delicious! Will definitely make again and again!

I don't even like cake and frosting, but I LOVE these. They are addictive! I have passed on this recipe to many, and I have gotten to taste many different kinds thanks to some daring friends! I still love the basic chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting and chocolate almond bark. H-E-A-V-E-N!!!!

This is sooo good and addictive! This can easily be served with tortilla chips too. That way there is no other flavor distracting from this heavenly dip. I use Cookies Buffalo Sauce. I always have the ingredients for this recipe on hand... it come in handy all the time!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
This was great! I am happy to say I can FINALLY make biscuits and gravy! I have made it twice, for home and work. Many people asked for the recipe. If there are going to be more people joining in then I like to add a little more milk and flour so there is more gravy to go around. For every 1/2 C milk add a Tbsp of flour. I have added an extra cup of milk and 2 Tbsp of flour to make it go further. Didn't change the flavor at all since there is plenty of sausage to blend it all together! YUMMY!!!

Chocolate Frosting II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I really didn't get the flavor of this frosting. Mine tasted so strongly of vanilla. I would recommend using less. I ended up adding some melted chocolate to mask the vanilla flavor. The consistency was great, with the addition of extra milk, and it spread easily. But maybe start with a tsp. of vanilla, and add to taste before putting in the whole TBSP.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Very delicious! I made a half-recipe, and it fit well into a 10x7 pyrex pan. I threw in some chocolate chips I had. I followed the baking directions, and it was so soft and moist! I didn't put it in the freezer though, since I was worried about putting a hot glass pan direct in the freezer. I will make this again!

It was a flavorful marinade and if you enjoy bourbon whiskey you will love the flavors. I would use more sugar next time as I like mine more on the sweeter side.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
i should have read other reviews before baking - needs more sugar for my palate. i sprayed muffin tins with spray release with flour. i also doubled blueberries and did follow all mixing directions. they're pretty! they look golden brown on the top and the bottoms are very pale but are done. baked for 20 minutes exactly in a well preheated oven. next time i will take the advice of others and add some type of sugary or streusel topping and increase sugar. thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Overnight Berry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Delicious! The only diary I had in the house was vanilla ice cream, so I melted it ,and mixed in some lemon juice to make "buttermilk". I left out the white sugar to make up for the sugar already in the ice cream, and used half whole wheat flour. We all loved it!

This was probably the simplest "snack" recipe that I've put together. I took it to a barbecue (used spinach and tomato wraps to make it festive) and it was gone within 30 minutes. Everyone enjoyed it. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
This is a pretty good chocolate chip cookie recipe. I omitted the nuts due to my picky eaters. Next time I will reduce the amount of sugar (this is a really sweet cookie), and only blend half of the rolled oats for a crunchy texture.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
I just made this tonight. They are good, but VERY rich. I made half with Almond Bark, and they turned out better in my opinion. The almond bark was not as rich and you could actually taste OREO! So this was a good recipe. I will just make it with almond bark in the future. Enjoy!
