Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This is my recipe...submitted long ago and never realized it got published...looked at the original recipe and realized the reason many say the chix is dry is that they published the cooking temp for the potato not the chix...lower the oven temp for the chix...or lower the cook time. So honored it got published and enjoyed...guess I should make it again:)

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
This is a great cookie recipe. I made a glaze with powdered sugar vanilla and milk then used my finger to drizzle over the top. The cookies went over great at my husband’s work place. Some people who normally don't like cookies really enjoyed these.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
So good! This recipe is very tasty. I followed other reviews and doubled the spices. I would suggest to all who do any kind of roasting with pumpkin seeds to leave the snot like stuff on them, do not rinse or boil the entire pumpkin flavor off. The first time I roasted pumpkin seeds I rinsed the seeds a couple of times and the result was something that tasted like flavored cardboard.

Zucchini Walnut Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I love this bread, but I had to change it so I could eat it. People who take blood thinners, Warfarin, cannot eat very many green vegetables, so I had to peel the zucchini. I also changed the sugar. I used one cup of light brown sugar and one cup of white sugar. I replaced the one cup of raisins with another cup of zucchini. You're going to love this bread so give it a try.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
I have been making these pancakes since I got married 6 months ago. My husband likes these. He likes them with chocolate chips. I like them just plain. What I do is warm the milk up a little bit so its not cold right out of the fridge. I also sift the dry ingridients into the wet ones. I dont know if it makes a diffrence but to me it does. But they are good pancakes.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
I read all the review's and used only 3 eggs and The shell still taste like egg. I will not give up because I know if I keep working on it it can be a good cream puff. Maybe next time I will use 2 eggs 2 Tbs sugar and 2 tsp vanilla to the batter. I will update once I get It down.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Wow this is good. I just made one for my husband the other night and thought I have made this 4 times and need to rate this good recipe. The changes I make are using 4 Granny Smiths and 4 Red Deliciouse. also adding vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the sauce! Yum This makes it a 10 star. also add half the sauce to the apples than the rest over the top crust.

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
WOW was this ever so yummy!! I made it last night for a BBQ and today I only have enough for a chip if that. Make sure you double the batch for it will go fast. The only thing I added was 1 serrano along with the jalapeno. It was perfect flavor. Thanks for the great recipe.

Frijoles a la Charra

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This was a super simple recipe, easy to use in the slow cooker, but I boiled the beans 3 times before tossing in the cooker because I forgot to soak...still turned out great; I also added canned tomatoes and fresh serano chiles...served with tortillas and cheese. I make Mexican dishes often and this was one I will be making again.
