Baked Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This was really good. We used more sour cream, less mayo, mixed in green onion and used frozen cubed potatos instead of fresh. I made them ahead of time, we cooked them the next night on a camping trip.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This was really good. I added chicken instead of the sausage, fresh basil, oregano, and no parsley. After it was finished cooking I added a small can of tomato sauce to make it a bit more creamy.

Spinach Artichoke Feta Ball

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
We used this recipe as a base, left out the ranch, added some diced sun dried tomatoes and filled won ton wraps with it, folded them over, sealed and fried until golden brown than added a sprinkle of parm cheese over the top. They were a hit!

Lemon Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This pie was good! The only thing that I would have preferred was how the pie set up- mine wasn't as firm as I would have liked it to have been and I let it set up for 24 hours. Cool and creamy flavor, though, and it looked very pretty with fresh lemon slices on it as decoration!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
I thought that this pie was good, but I think that it would've been better if I'd stuck to the exact recipe. Here are the adjustments that I made: 1 cup fresh squeezed key lime juice and 3 tablespoons of sugar. The pie came out a little too tart for my tastes, so I think that I'll stick to the original recipe next time I make it :)

Excellent recipe! First had these some 25 years ago in high school when a friend's mom made them. A couple of years later I fell in love with Solvang and bought a pan of my own. I've only made them sporadically over the years but this recipe is a keeper and will get these tasty morsels on our table more often!

These were good. I used 8 slices of pepperoni on each one and a sprinkle of italian seasoning. Had to leave out the veggies for the kids sake, dipped in marinara sauce.

Pineapple Banana Bread

This recipes was good, but I think that it was missing something. I was wishing that it had a little more tang to it; I think that next time I will add some pineapple juice to the recipe and see what happens :)

I made this for a ladies luncheon over the weekend and the girls went crazy over them. I did add probably a bit more cheese, some inside and more on top.

White Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Okay...this frosting tastes pretty good, but it takes a LONG time to beat. I mean, it took me over 45 minutes to get it thick. Mine also kinda had the texture of curdeled cream cheese. I don't know what I did wrong, if I did wrond. It tastes really good, though. Can anyone help me??

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
Oh...my...god...is all I can think of to say. That was the best cake I have ever tasted. If you make it with the Chocolate Frosting I (on this website), you will really, truly, honestly, think you have died and gone to heaven. I swear. Except, here's a tip for the people who decide to make the Chocolate Frosting I, you have to double the recipe for frosting! But oh...my...god, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS RECIPE! IT IS TO die FOR!!! *dies on the spot* =P

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
I thought this spread was wonderful, and has been a huge hit both times I have made it now. I used the whole can of jalpenos, cause I like it hot, and only about half the parm cheese on top. 1 cup seemed like an awful lot to me.

Royal Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
Awesome cookie recipe! I scaled it down to make 12 servings and I still got almost 50 little 1 inch raw dough balls that came out to perfectly sized baked cookies. What I did to modify the recipe was add 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts and about 1 cup white chocolate chips and I baked them for only 10 mintues and left them on the pan for another 2. SO YUMMY! I think that next time, though, I will add even more coconut as I love that stuff and think that coconut flavor, while very tasty, was a little too subtle.
