Love the sweet and salty combo. After the chocolate set a little I dipped mine in chopped nuts.

Peppermint Drops

Delicious!! I used 1 1/2 tsp mint extract and 2 1/2 cups flour. Came out great. Very easy to roll and the cook time is right on. I put my candies in right after the cookies came out of the oven and let them set and they came out alright. Very yummy! Thanks for sharing!!

Butterfinger Chunkies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This is a good cookie, but it mostly just tasted like a peanut butter cookie. Maybe I needed to add more butterfinger or something. Overall not bad, just didn't really tast the butterfingers. Thanks Joanie for sharing!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

These are very good. More of a cake like texture, but taste great. I used 1tsp cinnamon and 1tsp pumpkin pie spice to give it more of a pumpkiny flavor. Everyone loved them!!

I loved this cookie!! I actually forgot to put the walnuts, but it still tasted great. I drizzled a few of them with caramel ice cream topping for a little extra caramel flavor. YUM!

Pumpkin Fudge

Delicious!! Everyone loved it. And it came out perfect. I did ruin my 2nd batch by not letting it cook long enough, but every other time it came out great! I used the whole bag of chocolate chips and added pecans to one batch. Thanks for sharing!!

Pumpkin Pie (Wheat-Free, Egg-Free, and Dairy-Free)

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I was intimidated since other allergen free pumpkin pies involved tofu...ack, not in my pie! But this recipe had no tofu and it tasted like normal pumpkin pie. We do not have a gluten problem in our house so I did use my preferred crust, but used the filling and it was really, really good. It came out a little bit denser than I was expecting so may try a wee bit less cornstarch next time, and I may also try ditching the crust, putting the filling in souffle ramekins and then sprinkling gingerbread cookies on top of it. Amazingly good allergen free option, I highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Didn't love it, even though I've made similar recipes before and liked them. My kids and husband really didn't care for it either, so I won't be making it again! May be just personal preference--sorry!

Prego® Porcupine Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
only okay--may have been better had I followed to a "T", but I chose to bake the meatballs first, since that's what I usually do when I make meatballs. They were a bit dry, although the sauce did help with that. Probably won't make again.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
Really good--even though I didn't follow exactly. I added a ham hock for the flavor, omitted the salt and the peppers. I'm sure as written it's also excellent--but what I loved the most was finally fixing beans in a crockpot successfully, and finding out that I don't have to always soak the beans!

Very tasty chicken. Mine wasn't crispy, but it had a good flavor. I also added pepper, parsley, and an herb garlic seasoning I got from Washington. Very good.
