Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This was soooo good! I used cinnamon mini crossiants cut in half. The croissants have cinnamon sugar and walnuts in the middle so because they are already sweet I cut the brown sugar in half, it was perfect! Thanks SANDIPANTS ♥

Prosciutto Wrapped Melon balls

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
I don't like it with honeydew melon. Tried it with the cantaloupe like others suggested. So yummy. Guests gobbled them up. You can really play with the presentation. I do a melon ball with a prosciutto bundle on a tooth pick or just sliced in cubed and wrapped in the prosciutto. Minus the honeydew i would give this recipe 5 stars.

Made changes because I didn't have all the same ingredients on hand. I love recipes like this that you can take the basic recipe and have fun with it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. The meat came out so tender, flavorful and juicy.

We love this! I used less, balsamic, and added some white wine. I also didn't use the lemon zest, personal preference. Fabulous! Thanks Marianne ♥

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
We loved this!! I added onion, tons of spices and used a muffin pan which was perfect so that I could leave the sugar topping off of mine. I did use the topping on my husbands muffins, but I cut way back on the brown sugar and he said it was still perfectly sweet. Thanks for a great recipe! We will be using this in our regular rotation.

Blueberry Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This is my "go to" recipe I make all the time now. It always gets rave reviews. I used 4 bananas, 2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp allspice. Baked it in an angelfood or a 9in. springform pan (so the topping doesn't fall off) for 70 min. and before baking use the crumb topping from the Blueberry Coffee Cake III recipe from this site.

A wonderful recipe! I added 1 tsp vanilla and increased the milk to 3/4 cup. Don't use white sugar for topping (it will burn). Thanks, I will make again and again.

Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
Hi! I am the submitter of this recipe, and this is an AUTHENTIC teriyaki recipe. In Japan they do not use less sodium soy sauce. I myself do, but I wanted to stay true to the recipe when I submitted it. So, if you are the type of person who isn't used to salt, or prefers an americanized sweeter teriyaki, this may not be for you :) Enjoy ♥

Butternut, Apple and Yogurt Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
I'm giving this 4 stars because my husband enjoyed this soup, but for some reason I did not like it at all. We had it as a first course to our dinner, and my husband said it was good - but only in small doses because it was so sweet. I won't be making this again. (I followed the recipe exactly).

Hi I am the submitter of this recipe, the cilantro bunches where I shop are fairly small, hence the 3 bunches. So as far as the cilantro goes add it to your taste! Enjoy ♥

Funky Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This dish was really very good. I did make some changes though. Didn't have diced tomatoes w/chile's, so used regular diced tomatoes. I used hot italian sausage so there was still a nice bite to this dish. I didn't have ketchup either so just omitted it. Used the leftovers for burritos and they were great!

World's Best Cream Cheese and Pineapple Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This was different and delicious! Everyone raved about this, and it was gone very quickly. The only change I made was that I didn't have onion powder on hand so used a little seasoned salt and pepper. I used one larger and one smaller garlic clove, so it wasn't overpowering at all. Served with sliced baguette. Yummy!

Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This is the exact recipe my mom told me for making pesto. However, being a pesto snob and also being allergic to walnuts, we went more traditional and used pine nuts instead of walnuts. Makes a great freezer pesto, just leave about a half inch of room and then fill to with 1/4 inch of olive oil, or enough to cover the top of the pesto. Throw a lid of it and freeze.

Grilled Chicken Thighs Tandoori

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
I made this last night and it was wonderful. I baked it since our BBQ broke the night before and it was wonderful. I had skinless thighs which produced little fat. We chopped up some tomatoes and added them to the last 5 minutes of cooking. It was wonderful. We served it over rice with peas. Very healthy and very yummy. Now I gave it 4 stars because I love hot spices, I might add cayenne next time to add a kick.

Homemade Yogurt

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Yay! This was soooo easy and delicious. I made it in a large glass mixing bowl and put it in my electric oven overnight with just the light on. If it isn't thick enough in the morning I set the oven for 100 and leave it for a couple hours. Delicious! I was intimidated to try making yogurt and thought you had to have the yogurt machine. Now I will now be making it at least twice a week without the added nuisance of a machine taking up space. My son can eat 2-3 small containers a day (and he's only 6 1/2), and he loves this so it is going to save us a lot of money.

Steak Salad

We had some steak, tomatoes, and lettuce and threw it together with the salad dressing from this recipe. Lacking red wine vinegar, we used apple cider ving. and it was wonderful. I liked it so much, I made it the next day for lunch. Definitely a keeper.

Made these exactly and they came out very yummy! I doubled the recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan for 60 min. It only browned around the edges but didn't affect the taste. I will make these again!
