Spinach and Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Meh. I understand it's supposed to be healthy and all, but, a little too bland for my tasting.

Big Game Day Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is a good recipe. My husband said he would like it to have more chili powder for a more "traditional" flavor. I love the meat combination.

Wow. Followed this recipe to the letter and it came out great. My toddler even ate it up! Served it with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Will use this recipe again.

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I marinated the flank steak overnight and it was delicious and tender. Just don't make the mistake I did and salt the meat before grilling, it has plenty of salt already so just use pepper. I will always use this when I make flank steak, great recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

We liked this alot. I did use pinto beans instead of the chili beans. I used a light beer. This will be put into the regular rotation.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
these did not taste good enough for all the hassle it took to assemble them. my kids liked them, but it was just a mess. i put the dough in the freezer and threw the pepperoni, sauce, and some cheese in the processor like some other reviews. but the dough was just coming apart and breaking everywhere and they didn't roll up very tight. i had doubled the recipe and i ended up just putting some of the sauce mixture with cheese on the lg end and rolling. still wasn't that great although easier.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe and relatively easy to make. The only modifications I made were to use 3 large chicken breasts, slice them lengthwise and stuff them with the folded ham and cheese slices. (I also omitted a small amount of the butter, and used Pinot Grigio for the wine.) The chicken cooked very well although some of the cheese did leak into the pan while they simmered, however it just made the cream sauce thicker and cheesier. Steamed broccoli is a perfect side dish topped with a little of the extra sauce :)

Well, these get four stars for their eye catching ability! They weren't bad, but they weren't anything great. Would be great at a Halloween party.

Original Chex® Party Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Feel a little silly that I have never made Chex Mix. My daughter thinks I can make the sun rise now. I did mine in the oven, so I could only give it 4 stars since I didn't use the microwave.
